North of England Children's Cancer Unit
Welcome to the home page of the North of England Children's Cancer Research Unit. We are based in the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. Much of the work here is supported by the North of England Children's Cancer Research Fund. Between 80 to 100 children are diagnosed with cancer in the North of England each year. Most of them are treated at Newcastle.

British Association for Cancer Research
The BACR is the largest British-based cancer society with a membership of almost 1,200. It was formed in 1960 to promote the advance of research in relation to all aspects of cancer, both laboratory and clinical, and to encourage the exchange of information. The BACR is a registered charity and the Executive Committee are the charity trustees.
