In October this year, Jill and Gwyn are walking from Bath to London to raise awareness of breast cancer, the existence of Positive Action on Cancer and Little Gift Theatre's 'Time Bomb'. The walk begins on Thursday October 3rd and the duo arrive in London on October the 13th. Jill and Gwyn will be performing 'Time Bomb' once on route (7th October, Royal County Best Western Hotel, 4-8 Duke Street, Reading - 7.00pm) and on the 15th at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London - Julian Bloom lecture theatre, 1.00-2.00pm. 'Hike for Health' is a joint fundraising initiative. Jill Miller is the founder of Positive Action on Cancer and co-founder of Little Gift Theatre Company. Gwyn Harwood is a peripatetic teacher who works with children of travelling families, integrating them into main stream education; she is also co-founder with Jill of Little Gift Theatre Company.

Positive Action on Cancer is a free professional counselling service based in Frome and serving the west country. PAC supports all people directly or indirectly affected by cancer.

Little Gift Theatre Company began it's life in 1998 and has devised a play 'Time Bomb' which is about the realities of living with breast cancer. The play is based on the real life experiences of Jill and Gwyn who have both had breast cancer and subsequent mastectomies.

Funds raised from this joint initiative will help to sustain the free counselling service and enable the theatre company to offer more subsidised performances to health professionals, schools, colleges and conferences throughout the UK.
